Some voters in the New Richmond Exempted Village School District may have received a flyer from WEARENR, urging you to return your voted ballot in the addressed and stamped envelope which was enclosed with the flyer. The Clermont County Board of Elections, reminds voters that your ballot must be returned in the Identification Envelope provided by the Board of Elections with your absentee ballot. This Identification Envelope is necessary to process your ballot and ensure that your votes are counted. The Identification Envelope provided by the Board of Elections also provides additional security and anonymity for your ballot. In accordance with the Ohio Secretary of State, the Board of Elections provides a properly sized, self-addressed Official Election Mail envelope for the return of voted ballots. The United States Postal Service has specific procedures for expeditiously processing Official Election Mail. It is recommended that all absentee ballots be returned to the Board of Elections in the return envelope provided by the Board of Elections.
